On The Up

November 29th, 2011 by admin

At the start of the year we received a bit of marvelous news as Jeremy was promoted.
He is extraordinarily happy with his new job, plus he suspects that the organisation might be pushing him to becoming a manager. That should be good. Even more so in the existing economic situation. I am just working 2 shifts per week nowadays, so I am not making a large amount.
However I need the extra time off, I can tell you! The kids keep me occupied, and obviously I have the housework to do.
And that is a task that never ends.

The house received a new kitchen during August, and this was about time in my opinion.
We had the workies at the house for ages sorting it out, however it looks wonderful. Oh that the lawn was in similarly decent condition, it urgently needs a bit of attention.
However I’m not exactly a gardener, so I’ll leave it alone.
The repair we got done on the roof was costly, however it would seem to have been successful.
One would hope we won’t need to conduct anymore repairs over the next few years.

Last summer we enjoyed a couple of family holidays in Norfolk.
They were marvellous. The climate was terrific, and that was pleasant, and the kids were tremendously happy to experience the country.
We brought Joe with us as well, since we consistently go for pet friendly cottages: he loved running along the beach, way better than the city.
While we were holidaying we grabbed the opportunity to try surfing, an activity I had never done previously. I am not exactly a natural, however I shall do it again.

2011 was an outstanding year for Sam. He is progressing incredibly well in school and actually signed up to the debating society! As a result he doesn’t need to play hockey, and this he is very happy about. That was never entirely his bag.
Too much running about is not good for anybody, he maintains. I have to say that I completely concur.
Whilst Mark is entirely the opposite, he’s forever playing basketball. It is incredible how much energy he has, especially as he still declines to eat well. He seems to be wholly fuelled by chips!

Looking Good

November 28th, 2011 by admin

Our house got a different dining room in the summer, and that was about time from my point of view. We had the guys at the house for ages sorting it out, but it looks brilliant. If only the garden was in similarly fine shape, it really needs a bit of care.
However I am not exactly a gardener, so I shall leave it alone.
The work we got done on the roof was dear, but it seems to have been successful.
Hopefully we won’t be obliged to carry out further repairs in the near future.

This year we had a couple of family holidays in Norfolk. They proved to be fantastic. The weather was great, which was nice, and our kids were tremendously happy to investigate the terrain.
We took the dog along too, since we invariably rent pet friendly cottages: he really liked padding along the beach, so much more fun compared to the city. While we were holidaying we took the chance to go windsurfing, an activity I’d never done before.
I’m not exactly proficient, however I will go in the future.

2011 was a good one for Colin. He’s progressing very well at high-school and has joined the debating society! Therefore he does not have to play rugby, which he is very happy about. That wasn’t ever exactly his favourite.
Excessive running about is not good for you, he says.
I’m compelled to concede that I completely agree.
Whilst Michael is quite the other way, he is forever playing basketball. It’s amazing the amount of get-up-and-go he’s got, particularly since he still declines to eat well. He appears to be totally powered by chips!

In the start of the year we had some marvelous news as Kev was promoted. He’s tremendously pleased with the new job, plus he reckons that the company might be pushing him to become a head of department.
That should be great. Especially in the current financial slump. I am just in the office three days per week these days, therefore I am not making big bucks.
However I require the additional time off, I can assure you! The kids take a lot of looking after, and obviously I have the housework to do. And that’s a task that never ceases.

The Best Boating On Earth

November 26th, 2011 by admin

In my opinion, Norfolk holidays are unparalleled. I’ve been on loads of holidays in Norfolk and I have unfailingly had a first-rate time. If you love boating, as I do, there’s no place preferable. And in the event that you love walks in the landscape then Norfolk is wonderful as well.
I met a guy from Fakenham while I was abroad in Greece, and it was him that recommended visiting during the summer-time. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the weather was, it is like being abroad. After that I have visited him at least one time each summer, and from time to time he drops in on Livingston too.

One time I travelled on holiday with my girlfriend for a fortnight in the Trossachs.
It poured non-stop while we stayed there, and every occasion on which we went out we got dripping wet. Obviously we ended up bickering about why we had not holidayed in Ibiza, and the debate turned into a big ruckus.
Come the end of the vacation, I was single! That is the sort of thing that happens if you organise your holidays poorly. Mind you, it was conceivably for the best in the end: if she and I still went out then we would undoubtedly be arguing with respect to something daft as we speak.

Generally when I am holidaying I choose luxury cottages. They are much better than a hotel, since it is possible to cook food in them. I love making meals, so I don’t want to spend my holidays eating out. Generally I attempt to track down markets from which I can purchase natural produce, so I can try the native produce. There’s nothing more enjoyable than getting vegetables straight off of the producer, and immediately transforming it in to some thing great-tasting in my personal kitchen.

As I child our holidays were a shambles. Everyone fought relentlessly, and nobody was pleased to do the things which the rest intended to do. Dad invariably wanted us to go to see fortifications and history, though I was more content just shut away in my room.
Mum was perpetually worrying about the local food and the native wildlife. Honestly, when the vacation had reached its conclusion, we needed time to get over it.

A Chance To Relax

November 25th, 2011 by admin

When I was a youngster the family’s vacations were a disgrace.
We all argued non-stop, and no one was happy doing the stuff that the other ones wanted to do. Dad consistently hoped to go to see ancient buildings and culture, though I was happier just locked in the house.
Mum was always anxious with respect to the local cooking and the native animal life. Really, by the time the holiday had finished, we required a break to relax.

One time I traveled on holiday with my partner for a few days in the Highlands.
It rained non-stop while we stayed there, and every time we went out we ended up drenched.
Inevitably we found ourselves arguing about why we hadn’t gone to Spain, and the discussion transmogrified in to a massive commotion. By the conclusion of our holiday, I was single! That’s the sort of thing which happens when you organize your vacations poorly. Although, it was possibly for the best in the long run: if we still went out then we would most likely be arguing about something pointless as we speak.

By and large if I am holidaying I stay in luxury cottages.
They’re significantly better in relation to a hotel, as you can prepare food in them. I love making meals, therefore I don’t plan to squander my vacations having dinner in restaurants.
Normally I try to find marketplaces from which I am able to purchase fresh foodstuffs, so I can sample the native produce.
There is little better than obtaining veg directly off of the producer, and subsequently turning that into some thing great-tasting in my own kitchen.

In my opinion, Norfolk holidays are the greatest. I have gone on loads of holidays in Norfolk and I have constantly had a terrific experience.
In the event that you enjoy boating, like me, there’s nowhere finer. And if you love rambles through the countryside then Norfolk is superb too. I ran in to a guy from Walsham while I was abroad in Florida, and it was him that recommended a visit during the summer.
I was astonished at how sunny the weather was, it was as if you’re abroad.
Since that time I’ve visited him around one time each year, plus once in a while he visits Inverness too.

The Rainy Season

November 24th, 2011 by admin

On one occasion I travelled on vacation with my girlfriend for a fortnight in the Scottish mountains.
It chucked it down relentlessly while we stayed there, and every time we ventured out we ended up drenched. Of course we ended up arguing with respect to why we had not vacationed in Ibiza, and the debate changed in to a serious ruckus. Come the conclusion of our holiday, I had lost my girlfriend! That’s the kind of thing which takes place when you plan your vacations badly. Mind you, it was potentially advantageous in the end: if we were dating now then we’d most likely be squabbling with respect to something crazy right now.

In my opinion, Norfolk holidays are the best. I’ve had a lot of holidays in Norfolk and I’ve consistently had a great experience.
In the event that you like boats, as I do, there is nowhere preferable.
And if you like walks in the countryside then Norfolk is great as well. I bumped into a guy from Walsham while I was holidaying in Mallorca, and it was him that recommended coming down in the summer-time. I was pleasantly surprised at how hot the climate was, it is like being overseas. Since that time I have visited him approximately one time each year, plus occasionally he drops in on Glasgow as well.

Usually when I’m holidaying I stay in luxury cottages.
They’re much better in relation to a hotel, since it is possible to cook meals in them. I love cooking, thus I don’t want to pass my holiday eating in restaurants. Usually I endeavor to track down marketplaces in which I am able to procure fresh produce, so I am able to experience the local produce.
There’s little better than obtaining veg straight from the person who grew them, and immediately making that in to some thing scrumptious in my private cottage.

As I child our vacations were a shambles. Everybody bickered relentlessly, and nobody was content in doing the things that the rest hoped to do. Dad consistently wanted us to engage with castles and history, whilst I was happiest merely mucking about in the house. Mum was incessantly anxious with regard to the local food and the native wildlife.
Really, by the time the vacation was over, we needed time to chill out.

Culinary Art

Generally if I am holidaying I stay in luxury cottages. They are considerably more fun than a hotel, since you’re able to prepare food in them. I adore cooking, therefore I don’t want to spend my holidays dining in restaurants. Usually I endeavor to track down marketplaces from which I can purchase fresh ingredients, such that I am able to experience the local specialities. There’s little more enjoyable than obtaining vegetables straight from the producer, and immediately transforming it in to something sapid in my personal kitchen.

When I was a youngster the family’s holidays were a nightmare. We all fought all the time, and no one was content doing the activities which the rest sought to do.
Dad consistently hoped to go to see castles and culture, whilst I was happiest simply mucking about in the house. Mum was always worrying about the local food and the local wild-life. In truth, once the break had finished, we were in need of time to relax.

Once I traveled on holiday with my girlfriend for a weekend in the Highlands.
It poured non-stop while we were there, and every occasion on which we went outside we ended up dripping wet. Inevitably we wound up bickering with regard to why we hadn’t gone to Gran Canaria, and the discussion transmogrified into a massive drama. Come the conclusion of the trip, I was single! That’s the kind of thing that takes place if you organize your breaks poorly. Mind you, it was possibly a good thing ultimately: if we still dated then we’d conceivably be squabbling with respect to something stupid right now.

As far as I’m concerned, Norfolk holidays are the best. I have had a lot of holidays in Norfolk and I’ve consistently had a marvelous experience. If you love boats, like me, there is nowhere preferable. While in the event that you like strolls through the landscape then Norfolk is superb too. I met a bloke from Fakenham while I was holidaying in Greece, and he recommended visiting during the summertime. I was astonished at just how warm the weather was, it is like being abroad.
From then on I’ve visited him no less than once each summer, plus sometimes he drops in on Livingston too.

Precipitating Arguments

Once I traveled on holiday with my girlfriend for a few days in the Scottish mountains. It chucked it down constantly while we stayed there, and each time we went out we ended up soaked. Obviously we found ourselves arguing with respect to the reason that we hadn’t vacationed in Cyprus, and the debate transformed into a serious ruckus. Come the finish of our trip, I had lost my girlfriend! That’s the kind of stuff that takes place if you organize your vacations poorly.
Mind you, it was probably advantageous ultimately: if her and I still dated then we would most likely be bickering about some thing stupid as we speak.

I have enjoyed a lot of holidays in Norfolk and I’ve consistently had a marvelous time.
In the event that you love boating, as I do, there is no place finer. While if you love walks through the countryside then Norfolk is excellent too.
I bumped into a chap from King’s Lynn while I was vacationing in California, and he recommended a visit during the summer.
I was pleasantly surprised at how sunny the weather was, it is like being abroad. Every since I’ve visited him roughly one time a year, and once in a while he visits Perth too.

Big Fracas

Once I went on vacation with my girlfriend for a weekend in the Highlands. It rained relentlessly while we were there, and every time we ventured outside we ended up soaked. As a kid the family’s holidays were a nightmare.
Everyone bickered constantly, and no-one was content in doing the things which the other ones wanted to do. Dad perpetually hoped to go to see ramparts and history, but I was happiest just shut away in my room. My mother was always worrying with regard to the local food and the native bugs.
Honestly, once the holiday had reached its conclusion, we required a break to chill out.

Mostly if I am on holiday I go for luxury cottages.
They’re a great deal better in relation to a hotel, since you can prepare meals in them. I really like making meals, therefore I don’t like to squander my holidays having dinner out. To my mind, Norfolk holidays are the best.
I have gone on loads of holidays in Norfolk and I have constantly had a fantastic time. In the event that you like boats, as I do, there’s no place better.

My Perspective

November 16th, 2011 by admin

Autumn normally feels slightly melancholy from my perspective, with the summer months sinking into a gloomier part of the year. I don’t like the darker mornings, so I inevitably hope that the winter months shall be postponed during this year. But that does not happen. Despite the fact that there is Christmas to enjoy, I just wish I could relocate somewhere less chilly over the winter-time.
Maybe I will emigrate to Florida!

The superb thing about the festive season is our holiday. We usually head someplace charming in the countryside, somewhere which has Christmas holiday cottages available. Not everyplace does that, because a few places are closed during the wintertime, but we are familiar with a marvelous site in Norfolk in which Christmas country cottages are unfailingly to be found: if you make a reservation slightly in advance. It is brilliant to be away from the city, enjoying the crisp winter breeze and looking over the waves. It is so calm there, it chills me out totally.

Christmas decorations already? #christmas #photography #buildings

I think spring is my best-loved bit of the year. I like to get outside in the mountains and watch as everything blooms. The plants are amazing in spring, they just imbue me with a tremendous feeling of happiness. I head out in the open air whenever I can: there’s a series of lakes quite close to our city, and you’re able to go walking from the bus-stop at one end to the fantastic alehouse on the other.
You’ll usually desire a couple of drinks after all of that exercise!

The superb thing with regard to the summer months is the days whiled away in the common.
We normally grab a nice Rioja, plenty of nibbles, possibly the Frisbee, and just enjoy the sunshine and the presence of our pals. From time to time someone takes a BBQ, and that is superb even though, because I am a veggie, I will not try a great deal of what’s been made.
(However merely the aroma of the barbeque is so swiftly evocative of the summer months).
Unfortunately in June I forgot to use factor 40 and ended up burning my upper body.
That was painful for days.
That is an error you only make once, let me tell you.

Seasonal Sensations

November 14th, 2011 by admin

As far as I’m concerned, spring is my favourite bit of the year.
I like to be out in the hills and see the world while everything blooms.
The plants are amazing in springtime, they just fill me with a great sensation of euphoria.
I head outside in the country as often as possible: there is a group of lakes not too far from the town, and you can wander from the train station at one end to the brilliant alehouse at the other.
You genuinely desire two or three refreshments after all that exercise!

Fall invariably seems somewhat sad from my point of view, with the summer-time shifting into a less colourful part of the year. I do not like the pitch-black evenings, and I invariably hope that winter will be postponed in this year. But that never happens. Despite the fact that we have Christmas to look forward to, I just wish I could relocate somewhere warmer for the winter months. Maybe I will emigrate to Miami!

Merry Christmas white vignette Merry Christmas white vignette

The greatest aspect with regard to Xmas is our vacation. We invariably head somewhere pleasant in the countryside, someplace that has Christmas holiday cottages available. Not everywhere is suitable, because a few places are closed throughout the winter-time, but we know a great place in East Anglia in which Christmas country cottages are unfailingly available: as long as you make a booking a little beforehand. It is brilliant to be away from the city, enjoying the fresh winter-time breeze and staring out at the waves.
It is so peaceful there, it relaxes me utterly.

The wonderful thing with regard to the summer months is the afternoons whiled away in the park.
We generally grab a bottle of wine, plenty of nibbles, perhaps the badminton rackets, and simply enjoy the sun and the company of our mates. Once in a while someone brings along a BBQ, and that is smashing even though, because I am a veggie, I will not try a great deal of what gets made.
(However simply the scent of the barbie is so instantly evocative of summertime). Sadly in June I failed to put on sunblock and wound up cooking my shoulders.
It was sore for ages. That’s an error you just do one time, in my opinion.
